The Story Behind Mori

A forest doesn’t need to be loud to be full of life.

There are a hundred shades of green in the leaves. Brown in the bark. Rust in the earth. Soft light between the trees.

The deeper you look, the more you notice.

That feeling became the inspiration for Mori.

Mori means forest in Japanese - and for us, it represents curiosity, calm and exploration.

A forest is one of the first places where children learn that the world is bigger than they are.

A stick becomes a sword.

A fallen leaf becomes treasure.

A small path becomes an adventure.

That sense of discovery shaped our first collection.

Rather than starting with trends, we started with nature.

Forest green. Earthy brown. Warm rust. Soft neutrals.

Colours that feel familiar without becoming predictable.

The silhouettes follow the same philosophy.

Relaxed tees. Easy trousers. Comfortable shirts. Soft knits. Layering pieces designed to work together.

Nothing overly complicated.

Because children’s clothes should make getting dressed easier, not harder.

We wanted Mori to feel like a wardrobe rather than a collection of disconnected pieces.

A tee that works underneath a shirt.

Trousers that work with a knit.

A cardigan that can move from a family lunch to an afternoon outside.

Pieces that can be worn together, separately and repeatedly.

That is important to us.

We don’t believe a child’s wardrobe needs endless choices.

We believe it needs good ones.

Mori is our interpretation of childhood through the colours and textures of the forest.
